Sugar Cookies

For Halloween this year, I decided I would get into the "spirit" of the holiday. I made sugar cookies. I decided to share the yummy recipe my friend Julie shared with me. They are the easiest, and yummiest cookies I've found thus far.



1/2 C Soft butter or Margarine

1 C sugar

1 egg

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

1 tsp. nutmeg

1/2 C sour cream or buttermilk

3 cups flour *plus additional for rolling out cookies

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

Bake 375 degrees for about 8-10 minutes.



Icing

1 stick of butter (1/2 cup)

1 pound powdered sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

2 Tbsp. milk (or more)
